A brief pause
Just a brief note for the five of you who read this: I'm completely getting my ass kicked at work and will most likely be off the blog for this week. If you don't see me in comments at your place, it doesn't mean I don't love you or think your every word is simply brilliant. It's just that I'm on a strict schedule of working, drinking, and sleeping right now and I'm not sure when it's going to let up. But at least I might have some good stories to tell when I get back.

Hopefully stories of you kicking some ass at work.
I'm right there with ya - drowning in work, trying to keep with my blogging, and not doing so well. Why does August suck so much? (even though, yeah, I know it's September).
Do what you have to do -- we're not going anywhere. Good luck with the project, whatever it is.
Is this another of those ultra modest things? We aren't falling for it. I know you are off touring the nation with your newly acclaimed TCON title and I don't blame you. Oprah comes on at 4, why do I get the feeling if my remote batteries die on that channel there you will be smiling and waving to the camera as she touts your story? Nope not falling for it at all. Seriously, see you when you get back.

We'll be expecting a full report!
I think a lot of us have a busy week coming up. Summer's over, man! Time to get back into the swing of things.
Hope all goes well. Looking forward to your next post!
I feel for you sister. Be seeing you when you reenter the blog's orbit.
I can so relate. I just finished my major work deadline and have some breathing room now until about the middle of Sept. when it starts all over again. Hang in there!
See ya soon.
We'll try to be patient. All 5 of us. Really! LMAO. Take care and don't lose yourself in it.
I miss you already!! Come back soon!
Is the brief pause over yet? I can't hold my breath in protest all that much longer you know.

Rob, stop holding your breath. You're going to hurt yourself. Honestly, I'm not really missing blogging all that much but I'll try to post something before the week's over.
They're playing Beastie Boys "Brass Monkey" on the radio this very minute. I believe that is one of the signs of the apocalypse.
If you don't start blogging again soon, we're all gonna die without a final post!
Hmm...and I thought Nick and Jessica breaking up and Tom Cruise having babies signalled the end of the world. "Brass Monkey", who knew?
