I spent a few minutes trying to decide from where these pictures are, then chose to just appreciate the beauty.

Twilight or morning?

This is what sunset looks like at Folly Beach, which is in Charleston, where I live. When the sun goes down, everything turns the same shade of blue, so that you can't tell the water from the sky.

By the way, I clicked over to your blog and to the Little Puddle's. Is she really only 12? She's probably a way better writer than I'll ever be.

I've taken many photos of my local area. If I had to choose one picture to describe the nature of the area of Tennessee in which I live, I'd choose my photograph Splendor. Now, if I were talking about the people...it'd be a different story. :p

I'm about to move to Melbourne, Australia, though, so those photos of home are going to change drastically!

Leila, that is a beautiful picture. And you seem to be a much better photographer than me. I can't wait to see what Australia looks like.

Flood, seriously, this kid is killing my self-esteem as a writer, lol. Now I have to work that much harder.

Dude, she's like that cause she doesn't care. She doesn't worry about sucking. She does it 'cause she loves to do it. The blog is just a bonus place to get comments and a nice way to compile her work. I am really trying to maintain that love of writing in her so she keeps at it. No stat counter, no submitting, no queries no nothing!

I wish I was like that. I think I am gonna ground her right now for no good reason.

"She does it 'cause she loves to do it."

I think that says it all. That's what being a writer is, not all the other hangups that go along with it. If she can hang on to that love and not let any of the other bs get in the way, then she'll be successful, no matter what. I wish I was like that too.

Don't ground her, though. She'll probably just use that time to write a masterpiece and then I'll be off writing for good. ;)

Honestly, I hate the frickin' beach. I love how beautiful it is but I hate actually going there. There's sand and sharks and sunburns. None of my favorite things.

Lynn, thanks for stopping by. I already said this on your blog but I hope your little mouse gets better. Everyone go over to Lynn's blog and say a little prayer for her mouse, Digi.
