Evidence that I don't suck as bad as I think I do
Remember a couple of days ago I wrote a story for Clarity of Night's "Midnight Road" fiction contest? Well, the results are in and.......I didn't win. But I did get an honorable mention, which is cool since there were so many awesome stories entered in the contest and I don't know squat about writing flash fiction. To find out who did win, click here and while you're there, check out some of the stories. And also, a big congratulations to Flood, whose story, "The Marker", was one of three stories to receive a Reader's Choice award.

Congrats! Saw your comments on Voix's blog and had to check out your blog. Charleston? Really? My dad was born there. But he moved back to Macon, GA before he was a teenager. I still have a few cousins there - and my best friend from high school lives in Mt.Pleasant.
Anyway - honorable mention is nothing to sneeze at.
And I like poetry too. But it's not quite my bitch.
LOL, thanks and welcome. I love the Voix, I can't stay away from her blog.
I actually live in Mt. Pleasant. Small world, eh?
And poetry's not really my bitch. Yet.
Congratulations, Rebecca. You're like one of the best places for news updates and gossip. Like Yahoo, but better.
Don't tell the Yahoo people that. They'll put out a hit on me or something.
See, I told you! Good job. Yours was a wonderful piece and quite deserving.
Scott, thanks. There were so many good stories, it was really a pleasant surprise.
Congratulations! This is a really important step, trusting yourself.
I TOLD you it was good!
Congratulations!
Thanks, everyone. Flash fiction is now one of my new favorite things to write.
Congratulations! We knew you didn't suck, and now this great accolade confirms it. Can't wait to read your story--I love flash fiction.
January, thanks. I hope you still love flash fiction after you read the story. :)
Congratulations! That must feel like very nice validation...
Congrats on the honorable mention!
Gerald, Ceebie, thanks. It's a small thing but a very nice thing too.
